Set Up Telegram

Connect Telegram to let your agents communicate through a Telegram bot.

Prerequisites​

  • You are signed in to the XpressAI Platform.
  • You have a Telegram account.
  • You have created a Telegram bot via @BotFather and have the bot token.

Steps​

  1. Navigate to Integrations from the sidebar.
  2. Find Telegram in the integrations list.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter your Telegram Bot Token (the token you received from @BotFather).
  5. Click Save.
  6. Test the integration by sending a message to your Telegram bot and confirming the agent receives and responds to it.

To create a new Telegram bot, message @BotFather on Telegram with /newbot, follow the prompts, and copy the token it provides.

Your agent will receive messages sent to the Telegram bot and can reply through the same bot. The bot acts as a bridge between Telegram users and your agent.

Verify​

  • The Telegram integration shows as Connected in the Integrations list.
  • Send a message to your Telegram bot and confirm the agent processes and responds to it.
