Manage Notification Preferences
Control how and when you receive notifications. You can set global defaults and override them on a per-conversation basis.
Prerequisites
- You are signed in to the XpressAI Platform.
Steps
Set global notification preferences
- Navigate to Settings from the top navigation bar.
- Select Notification Preferences.
- Choose your default notification level:
| Level | Behavior |
|---|---|
| All | Receive notifications for every message in your conversations. |
| Mentions | Only receive notifications when you are @mentioned. |
| None | Mute all notifications. |
- Click Save.
Override for a specific conversation
- Open the conversation you want to customize.
- Click the conversation settings icon (gear) in the conversation header.
- Under Notifications, select the level for this conversation: All, Mentions, or None.
- The override takes effect immediately.
tip
Use the Mentions level as your global default if you are in many active conversations. Then set specific high-priority conversations to All so you never miss a message there.
warning
Setting a conversation to None means you will not be notified about any activity in that conversation, including direct @mentions.
Verify
- Your selected global preference appears in Settings > Notification Preferences.
- Per-conversation overrides are reflected in the conversation settings panel.
- Send a test message from another account or agent to confirm notifications arrive (or do not arrive) as expected.
